Tennis Court Construction in Connecticut & Florida

Precision Sports CT builds custom tennis courts for homeowners, clubs, and municipalities across Connecticut and Florida. From initial site evaluation through final net post installation, we manage every phase of your tennis court project — on time, on budget, and built to last.

Why Choose Precision Sports CT for Your Tennis Court

With over 15 years of experience and 275+ courts completed, we bring deep expertise to every residential and commercial tennis court build. Our courts are constructed to USTA specifications, ensuring regulation dimensions (78’ x 36’ for doubles), proper slope for drainage (1” per 10’), and surface consistency for reliable ball bounce.

We’ve built courts for private residences in Greenwich, Westport, and Fairfield, as well as commercial facilities and resort properties including the Four Seasons Anguilla.

Our Tennis Court Construction Process

1. Site Evaluation & Design

We assess your property for grading, drainage, sun orientation, and setback requirements. Connecticut properties often need specific consideration for frost depth footings and New England weather patterns. Our team handles all permit coordination with your local municipality.

2. Excavation & Base Construction

Proper base construction is the most critical factor in court longevity. We offer two base options:

  • Asphalt base — The industry standard for residential courts. We apply 3-4” of compacted stone aggregate topped with 2-3” of asphalt, carefully graded for water runoff.
  • Post-tension concrete — The premium choice for commercial and high-traffic courts. Reinforced with tensioned steel cables to prevent cracking, this base can last 25+ years with minimal maintenance.

3. Acrylic Surfacing Systems

We apply multi-layer acrylic surfacing systems that deliver consistent play characteristics:

  • Standard acrylic — 4-5 coats of textured acrylic color coating for reliable performance
  • Cushioned systems — Additional rubber granule layers beneath the acrylic for shock absorption, reducing joint stress and fatigue during extended play

Choose from a full range of professional color combinations to match your property or brand.

4. Net Posts, Fencing & Lighting

Every court includes professional-grade net post sleeves set in concrete, regulation nets, and your choice of:

  • Fencing — 10’ galvanized chain-link or vinyl-coated options with windscreen compatibility
  • LED lighting — Energy-efficient court lighting designed to minimize light spill to neighboring properties while maintaining tournament-level illumination
